Also racing at Sutton, Nick navigated his way to second overall in the Jr. Light class. Steadily showing strong results week-in week-out, Nick came up just short of the title, but also ended his year with a win in the Jr. Heavy class. Moving up a class for the final race of the year, Nick took no abuse on track and scored the victory to end the year on a high note.

  • Nick Earns first BSRKC Win of the Year!
    July 13, 2009

This past weekend the Ledson Motorsports Team travelled to Flamboro Speedway for race four of the Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship. After beautiful skies allowed for many practice sessions on Friday, a wild thunderstorm halted competition on Saturday morning. After the large amount of water was pumped away from the racing surface, racing resumed on track. In Mini-Max action, Nick placed his kart on the pole position. Due to the weather delay, race officials called off the pre-finals and Nick lined up first for the main event. From the drop of the green flag Nick was in cruise control and drove to his first BSRKC win of the year. In Jr. Medium, Nick wasn't as lucky as he could only manage a seventh place finish.

On Sunday the sun came back out and a full schedule was lined up for all classes. In qualifying, Nick positioned himself in the top ten in Jr. Light with the largest class of year thus far. Keeping his nose clean in both the pre-final and final, he would cross the finish line in 6th place. In Novice action, Cole showed steady improvement in each session on track and finished the day with a solid 7th place finish in Novice, the largest class of the day.
